A visual representation (e.g., number line, table, diagram) is shown as strategy for solving a problem. |
Day 4 | Draw It!
Solve It Two Ways |
Solve a problem by drawing a picture or using a visual model. Student use the same strategy as shown in Day 3 or may choose their own strategy.
Solve the same problem two ways by applying the strategies they have learned. Be asked to analyze and explain which way is correct or state the error or misconception. |
Day 5 | Challenge Yourself! | Students are presented with a multi-step, non-routine problem.
Student analyze a problem, think about different strategies, develop a plan and explain how they solve the problem. |
